The Quality of Life Conference witnessed the researchers presenting a number of research papers on the relationship of population control rates with what is related to sociology, culture and economy, as well as all aspects of life, stressing the need to take into account successful international experiences in this regard and benefit from it and work to implement it in Egypt. On the goals of the conference, Kamali explained that they include understanding the concepts of quality of life and the well-being of individuals and societies, as well as moving from a narrow understanding of development with its traditional physical indicators to a concept related to the decent living of citizens and quality of life, as well as how to build a new economic model for development that achieves quality of life. The objectives of the conference, which also included expanding the concept of the population issue so that it is not limited to the axis of reproductive health and family planning, in addition to identifying the responsibility of the relevant parties from individuals, organizations, civil society, governments to the issue of achieving quality of life, with a view to benefiting from various Science for quality of life.

 

The conference focused on five axes, including the economic empowerment of women, the service axis of reproductive health services and health services that can be provided to citizens to improve the quality of life, as well as the cultural, awareness, religious and media axis, in addition to the axis of digital transformation and its role in facilitating citizens' access to services and thus improving the quality of life. As well as the legislative axis, where recommendations from researchers will be discussed regarding what legislation the state may take to improve the quality of life for citizens. 

 

It is noteworthy that the conference came within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which comes at the top of its priorities to improve the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen, and in line with the national project for the development of the Egyptian family under the auspices of the President of the Republic, which seeks to improve demographic characteristics and control population growth, where the idea of ​​launching a scientific conference entitled “ Quality of Life” which means improving the quality of life of the individual and family and demographic characteristics by creating the necessary environment to support and create new options that enhance citizen participation in health, cultural and educational activities and other appropriate patterns that contribute to enhancing the quality of life of the individual and family, generating jobs, diversifying economic activity, and enhancing the status of Egyptian citizen. 

 

It is worth noting that the conference came to shed light on one of the most important areas of research and policies that is growing rapidly and in interest in the world today, which is represented in the field of policies that support the improvement of the quality of life of citizens and the improvement of demographic characteristics in the Republic of Egypt.
