For the first time... The National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family in Egyptian Universities

On the first day of the start of the new academic year 2022-2023 and coinciding with the activities of welcoming new students, the Demographic Center in Cairo - affiliated to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development - in cooperation with the Unit for Combating Violence against Women at Cairo University, participated in the activities of welcoming new students, in the presence of Prof. Ayman Ashour - Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Khasht - President of Cairo University.

 

During its participation in the events, the center carried out an extensive awareness campaign to introduce university youth to the national project for the development of the Egyptian family and its various axes, as well as raising awareness of concepts related to the population issue, reproductive health, gender-based violence issues and ways to confront it.

 

The campaign will last for five days, during which events will be held in the various colleges during the reception week, including: announcing competitions, artistic and cultural awareness shows in cooperation with the General Authority for Culture Palaces at the Ministry of Culture, seminars, and workshops.

 

This campaign is considered as launching campaigns and initiatives in all public universities at the level of all governorates of the Republic for three consecutive academic years.
