Strengthen Egypt's family planning program

Within the framework of Egypt's role in empowering women economically and socially, and under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Dr. Amira Tawadros, Director of the Demographic Center in Cairo, participated in the jury of the youth competition for the project to strengthen Egypt's family planning program with a jury consisting of 5 other members representing the Ministry of Health and the National Council Population, USAID, and John Snow Inc. Then the three best winning teams for first, second and third place were selected from among 12 teams that implemented a campaign for the development of the Egyptian family.

 

Launched the “Healthy Families for Stronger Population” project, as part of the Enhanced Family Planning Program in Egypt (SEFPP) - Egypt is the most populous country in the Middle East and the third most populous country in Africa. This is under the auspices of the Gerhart Center for Social Giving, Civic Engagement, and Social Responsibility at the School of Business at the American University in Cairo, in coordination with the United States Agency for International Development, to launch the competition while strengthening the Egyptian family planning system and creating awareness of family planning.
