Within the framework of the national project for the development of the Egyptian family, the activities of the "Quality of Life" conference were launched. The first conference on supportive policies to improve the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen, which was held under the auspices of Her Excellency Professor Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Amira Tawadros, Director of the Demographic Center in Cairo affiliated to the Ministry of Planning, in the presence of a group of government development experts, academics, international institutions, civil society organizations and companies.
The conference aims to stand on the concepts of quality of life and the well-being of individuals and societies, discuss how to build a new economic model for development that achieves quality of life, and discuss the roles of parties related to the issue of achieving quality of life.
The activities of the opening session of the "Quality of Life" conference dealt with keynote speakers' speeches on the importance of supportive policies to improve the quality of life of citizens.
The conference activities included presenting research in the form of discussion sessions on presenting policies in all areas of the project’s axes, including the various social, demographic, health and cultural dimensions of the family, including women’s economic empowerment, in addition to caring for women’s health by raising the efficiency of family health and development centers to provide vaccinations and services. Primary care, as well as follow-up medical examinations before and after marriage.
The researchers presented 5 research papers for each of the main axes; The theme of economic empowerment of women, the theme of reproductive health, the theme of digital transformation, the legislative theme, the cultural and media theme.
The activities of the "Quality of Life" conference were concluded by honoring the best research in each of the five conference themes.
