On the role of civil work organizations and the population issue under the auspices of the Prime Minister
Dr. Amira Tawadros, Director of the Demographic Center - on behalf of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, delivered her speech at the National Dialogue Conference on “The Population Issue… The Role of Civil Work Organizations”, in the presence of Dr. Talaat Abdel Qawi, President of the General Federation of NGOs and President of The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Family Planning Association, and representatives of ministries, agencies and international organizations concerned with health and population issues.
She emphasized that the increase of the population issue represents one of the most important development challenges facing the state during this stage. Undoubtedly, this increase is accompanied by negative effects and economic and social pressures resulting from the increase in the imbalance between resources and population, and this inevitably leads to a decline in per capita income from development efforts and the fruits of economic growth. Which the state has been able to achieve in recent years.
